Taste & See

“Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.”

It is all too easy with an over-scheduled calendar and ceaseless work demands plus a nagging guilty feeling that “I am never done” to become robbed of your personal intimacy with Christ and vibrancy in the Holy Spirit. You grow dry. You become spiritually dehydrated. You never feel completely satisfied with where you are on your spiritual journey. You know there is more. You also know that coming to church a couple times a month or so is not going to keep your spiritual tank filled.

You also know that there are people in your sphere of influence who need Jesus. You feel that you should be sharing Christ with them. But you don’t. You know that they are going to miss heaven without Jesus and that bothers you, but quickly they are forgotten as you move onto another squeaking wheel.

There must be a way to stay in constant communion with Christ and be emboldened to share Him with others.

Taste and See is a 30-Day Experiment to continually live in the presence of Christ and in the power of the Spirit. It also creates an intentional engaging in lost people in the normal course of your day where you live, work and play.

Taste and See is about continuous connection to God and radical responsiveness to His Word.

What would happen if for 30 days, you:

  • Walked completely in the presence of God every waking hour.

  • Heard the voice of Jesus speaking to you and acted on what He said without excuse or hesitation.

  • Saw your church become vibrant with the presence and power of God, growing and expanding God’s Kingdom.

Two truths are at the core:

  • Once in Christ, you are already as close to Jesus as you will ever be – you are not working for a place or position. So, abide in who God is and what He has made you to be. Stay focused on Christ.

  • Be intentional to move toward others with a healing touch and a healthy word by loving the people God has brought into your life, your neighbors, your family, your co-workers, fellow students and the new people God brings into your path.

At the end of this experiment, you will:

  • Begin to live in constant contact with God with a fresh willingness to do His will where you are.

  • See the beginning of a turn around in your church as it focuses outward rather than inward.

  • Be refreshed in a new awareness of the Lord’s personal presence and power in your life.

“Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.  Whoever believes in me, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

John 7: 37-38
